Terrorism and u.s policy

In september 11,2001 the terrorism attack on the world trade center and the pentagon.During the last 10 days  the secretary of defence donald  rumsfeld and secretary of the state colin powell they have repeatedly empasized that their long term is the objective  of the destruction of the terrorism. The terrorism has hardly being ignored  in the previous  administrations. But in the beginning  the  reagan  administration of the state  Alexander Haig announced  that the opposition to the terrorism would replace the carter administration  on advancing human rights throughtout the world. The opposition  to terrorism never really became the primary focus of the Reagan  administration. Each of this paid attention to the issue and produced many imprtant documents that light on the policy that is faced today .Terrorism is been the subject of the presidential and defence  department  directives as executive orders. The terrorist groups and the terrorist acts  have been  the focus  of reports  by the executive branch agencies and the congressianol bodies including also  the senate. The general office  has also produced several  reports evaluating the U.S government ability to prevent  or mitigate terrorist strikes. The U.S government  is to deal with the terrorism.
